* The Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene said INEC raised the hope of Nigerians during preparations ahead of the elections but regretted that the Commission did not meet the expectations of the people, pointing out that late arrival of electoral materials in many centres and delay in announcement of results have created room for suspicion. Chief Okeke-Ogene noted that the electorate during the elections expressed strong desire to take ownership of the country and change the national narrative and cautioned that any attempt to compromise or manipulate the outcome of the elections will have far reaching consequences.

* The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the just concluded Senatorial election, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, congratulates the winner of the 2023 Anambra Central Senatorial District election held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, Senator Victor Umeh. Ekwunife states that she has accepted the outcome of the election, and urges the constituents and critical stakeholders in the zone to support the Senator-elect as he prepares to represent the people in the 10th Senate.

* The Police in Anambra State have refused to release two persons detained in their custody for alleged conspiracy and vandalisation of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) property in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. But the legal team of the detained applicants Anthony Ginijeme and Henry Nwobodo accused an Anambra businessman, Chief Emeka Offor, of being behind the continuous detention of the duo. They alleged that the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) in the matter had boasted that Chief Offor would influence the Magistrate handling the matter to continue the detention of the duo since he is close to the Inspector-General of Police (IG).

* Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief Basil Ejidike has congratulated the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima on their election victory. Ejidike while speaking with journalists in Awka said emergence of Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria will further unite the country in all sections. 

* The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has rejected the declaration of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as president-elect. The Ndigbo group further called on the United Nations and the international community to sanction the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other alleged corrupt Nigerian politicians that purportedly corroborate with the electoral umpire to “rig” the February 25 presidential election. 

* Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu the Labour Party Candidate and former Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka has urged the people of her Constituency not to be deterred or discouraged in any way. Orogbu encouraged them not to lose hope but  finish what we started on March 11 by voting massively for  Labour Party from Top to Bottom. She called on party faithfuls to vote Engr. Henry Mbachu for Awka South 1 Constituency because he is young, energetic, intelligent and smart.

* The YPP flag bearer, in the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections, Hon. Kingsley Chukwudozie Uyammadu, PHF, DSA, Otosi Achalla, has congratulated Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Uba, YPP candidate for the Anambra South Senatorial seat, Hon. Princess Chinwe Clara Nnabuife, YPP candidate for the Orumba North/South Federal Constituency seat, and Prof. Oby Orogbu, LP candidate for the Awka North/South Federal Constituency seat, on their victory at the polls, urging their constituents to give them the maximum support needed to deliver on their campaign promises. In his message, Hon. Kingsley charged the elected representatives to deliver on their campaign promises of providing visionary and accountable leadership, quality representation, and good governance to their constituents, stressing the need to rally other inclined stakeholders who want a part in strategies that will help tackle the enormous challenges facing Ndị Awka, Anambra, Ndị Igbo, and Nigeria at large.
