…Appeals flag-off of Nawgu link road to boost socio-economic activities in the area
The Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr Augustine Onyemaobi has commended the impressive performance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in the March 18th, 2023 State House of Assembly election which he attributed to the spectacular performance of the Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo after one year in office.
Onyemaobi stated this while commenting on the one year anniversary of Soludo administration emphasized that governance has taken a new dawn since the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria started piloting the affairs of the state. Dunukofia Mayor noted that the governor has awarded over 200 kilometers of roads across the state which are currently under construction.
The TC Chairman further added that five thousand teachers has been employed by the state government to enhance effective teaching and improve standard of education.
The TC Chairman appealed to the Governor to flag-off the construction of Ukpo, Nawgu and Isu-Anaocha road to give the people a sense of belonging and ease their sufferings. He revealed that Nawgu is the only community that have no tarred road. Onyemaobi further added that when the road is constructed, it will boost socio-economic activities of Anambra State.
“That road has Inter-connectivity and if that road is done, it connotes a whole lot of economic values for the state. Mr Governor will be writing his name in the sand of history of that road if flagged-off given that he has actually promised to do something about it.” Onyemaobi affirmed.
Recall that Soludo’s administration has created youth initiatives like one youth two skills programmes in the 21 LGAs to take young people off the streets. Mr Governor has also employed over three hundred health personnel to work on general hospitals to fill the gap created by lack of man power in the health sector among others.
