* The Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike has restated the resolve of the Ministry to ensure safety on the roads across the state. Mrs Igwebuike who said this while speaking with newsmen in Awka recently, urged Ndi Anambra to observe traffic laws and regulations. The Commissioner explained that motorists should avoid indiscriminate loading and offloading of vehicles on unauthorised sections of the roads and highways.

* The President, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Most Reverend Daniel Okoh has assured believers that Jesus is faithful. The CAN President, however urged Christian faithful not to listen to the voice of the devil or believe what he says, for the devil is a deceiver. He encouraged all to stand on their faith as Jesus has come to set them free, noting that His resurrection is the completion of His plan; which He revealed to His disciples, while His mission plan is the redemption of man.

* The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has expressed deep condolences to the family of the former Governor of Anambra state, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju whose death was announced on Tuesday. Ekwunife described the demise of late Dr. Mbadinuju as a painful and colossal loss particularly to the state, noting that the Uli-born politician was a distinguished and religious Nigerian with a kind soul whose immense achievements to the political landscape and socioeconomic development of Anambra state will always be referenced.

* Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Anambra Council led by Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the state government to provide a level playground to all contestants for Ogbaru Federal Constituency on April 15, 2023 rerun poll. ANN reports that the Anambra council made the call during its April congress held at Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre, NUJ Secretariat, Awka.

* The member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Ubby in Uruogbo village Enugwu-Ukwu over the demise of late Mr. Celestine Chinedu Ubby who died at the age of 48 yrs. Nwankwo who was represented his chief protocol officer, Hon. Martin Dike in his condolence messages to the bereaved families, described the deceased as a great patriot who impacted positively for the betterment of the society.
