* The Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment, Comrade Don Onyenji says Anambra state is now “a very fertile ground for movie productions and other forms of entertainment business because the government of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has special interest in the entertainment sector”. The commissioner while speaking in Awka, the state capital, maintained that all kinds of ceremonies are happening in Anambra state today because insecurity has become a closed chapter with the advent of the present state government.
* Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi along with Dr Tony Nwoye, Oseloka H. Obaze, and others were in Ogbaru, Anambra State to campaign for Hon. Afam Ogene in the forthcoming supplementary election for the Ogbaru Federal Constituency which is scheduled by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold on Saturday 15th April 2023.
* As the 2023 State and National Assembly elections Triibunal commence sittings, the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ ) Anambra council has warned politicians to refrain from acts and utterances capable of destablising the peace of the state. Anambra NUJ led by Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu during the Union’s April congress urged all the contestants, political parties and other stakeholders that participated in the 2023 general elections in the state to either accept defeat or seek redress in a peaceful manner.
* The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Charles Esimone has called on well to do citizens in the society to invest more in the education system, for all round development and progress of the nation.
Professor Esimone made the call at Unizik Business School in Awka, during the groundbreaking ceremony of the school new ultramodern building. The Unizik Business School new ultramodern edifice is a project being sponsored by a philanthropist , Chief Ikenna Okafor who donated the sum of one hundred million naira for the project.

* As the 2023 National Population Commission census exercise draws nearer, the Transition Committee Chairman for Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu has called on the people of the fifteen communities in Orumba South to give necessary support and assistance to the population census enumeration officials and other adhoc staff in the area. Speaking at the Orumba South Council Secretariat Umunze during the census sensitization exercise, Prince Uchendu who reminded the people of Orumba South of the importance of the exercise in sharing the nation’s resources and opportunities, enjoined stakeholders in various communities in the area to mobilize their people for the exercise.

Top personalities in Nnewi and across the country paid condolence to Airtight’s family, including Nigerian top industrialist and manufacturer, Chief Innocent Chukwuma (Innoson), and Senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Nigerian socialite and businessman, Obi Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana, Oil and gas mogul, JowiZaza, Hon. * The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly committee on works, Dr. Timothy Ifedioramma has commended the quality of jobs done so far on the drainages on Obosi road. Ifedioramma who led the House of Assembly Committee on Works on an oversight visit at the road for on-the-spot assessment of the project charged the construction firm to expedite action on it. The committee urged them to complete the project within the time frame before the rainy season sets in.
