Anambra Assembly Pays Tribute To Mbadinuju

The Anambra House of Assembly at their plenary today, April 18, observed one minute silence in honour of late

Chinwoke Mbadinuju (Odera), first executive governor of the state, who passed on, April 11, 2023 at the age of 78.

Anambra State Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, in his tribute, said the news of the sudden demise of Mbadinuju came as a shock.

Okafor asked the family to ensure his good legacies are sustained while praying that the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest!

” He was a great man who impacted in the lives of Ndi-Anambra when he was the governor of the state. May the soul of Mbadinuju and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God Rest In Peace”,  Okafor prayed.

ANN recalls that the demise of the former Governor was announced by his son, Cheta Chinwoke Mbadinuju, Esq on behalf of the family.

The late Mbadinuju was the former governor of Anambra State from May 1999 to 29 May, 2003. He was elected governor on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.

Mbadinuju will be fondly remembered for passing a law that created the Anambra Vigilante Services, establishing Anambra State University, Uli, among other legacy projects.
