And it was even a factor in colonialism. European traders beguiled our ancestors with mirrors and other knickknacks that they had previously never seen. Then they sent in missionaries to Europeanise us in the guise of Christianising us.
At first they were holding their own version of Scripture, which they called The Bible, while our ancestors held on to their ancestral lands. It was not too long before our ancestors were the ones holding the European Bible (not Scripture) and the colonialists were holding their ancestral lands.
Let no one be deceived. I believe in Christ. I believe He is the Only Way to God. And I believe in Scripture. But what the European colonialists brought to Africa, Latin America and other colonised places was not the historically accurate Christ, nor the spiritually pure way to God, or indeed the genuine Scripture.
And sadly, till this day, my people still celebrate European cultural weddings, burials and pagan holidays, and think they are practicing the same pure faith that was handed down by Christ and His disciples to the early church.
That is the chief reason why Mummy GO is sending everybody to hell. She, and many others like her (many of whom have branded thousands of children witches, leading them to be kicked out by their parents) do not know the difference between Christendom and true Christ follower-ship.
And that is why African Christians are gradually being beguiled to be intolerant of polygamy, which was practiced in Scripture, but tolerant of same sex marriage, which is condemned in Scripture. To think otherwise is to be uncivilised.

Not only will you understand true Christianity by visiting Ethiopia, you will also understand Islam. At first, you may think that the Ethiopian Christians dress and behave like Muslims.
But then they will present you with books and drawings that existed before prophet Muhammad, salla Allahu alayhi wasalaam, which proves they have always dressed and believed and behaved that way for at least two thousand years.
So, where does the similarities between them and Muslims come from?
Because Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) nurse, Umm Ayman, was an Ethiopian. She was present on the day the prophet was born and on the day he died. She was one of the first converts to Islam.
When the Quraysh wanted to kill the first Muslims, they went on hijra to Ethiopia (then known as Abyssinia or Habesha), where they picked up many of the ways of the Ethiopian people.
Ruqayyah, the daughter of the holy prophet Muhammad (SAW), lived in Ethiopia for ten years with her husband, Uthman, the third Caliph of Islam.
In one of the Hadiths, it is recorded that the Christian Negus (king) of Ethiopia gifted prophet Muhammad (SAW) two items of clothing.
There are more descendants of prophet Muhammad, salla Allahu alayhi wasalaam, (these descendants are called Sayyids) in Ethiopia, than in Saudi Arabia. In fact, they formed their tribe, called the Sirte.
Harar in Ethiopia is the fourth holiest Muslim city in the world. The Muslims who returned to Medina from Habashah (as Ethiopia is called in Arabic). The word Habashah means “to collect” in Arabic. It is believed to be so called because the early Muslims collected so much from Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian king (Negus) militarily protected the Muslims from the Quraysh of Mecca who wanted to kill them and they flourished during their time in Ethiopia.
That is why both Christians and Muslims should open their eyes by visiting Ethiopia.
