Nightlife entrepreneur Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, had his stage performance disrupted by a hostile crowd in Abuja on Thursday night, with sections chanting “We no send your papa” in clear disapproval.
Okechukwu, who is affiliated with the ruling All Progressives Congress and serves as a state director for the City Boy Movement in the South East, took the stage at an event but struggled to win over the audience despite attempts to engage them.
The repeated chant reflected broader political discontent in the capital, where many residents remain critical of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration following the 2023 elections.
Okechukwu had earlier expressed regret for not supporting Tinubu sooner, stating: “Relax, Tinubu will fix Nigeria.”
