ACTDA, NUJ To Sustain Partnership On Development In Anambra

Mr. Osita Onuko, the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA,

has assured that his agency will maintain active partnership with the Anambra State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists for effective development.

Mr Onuko gave the assurance when the executive members of the state NUJ paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Awka.

The MD said he is fully in, to work with journalists in the state so as to be able to get Ndi Anambra acquainted on the developmental strides and achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the state through the agency, even as he encouraged Journalists in the state to always stick to professionalism in the discharge of their duties as the watch dog of the society.

 

The ACTDA boss emphasized that the government of Professor Soludo is committed towards transforming the state, especially Awka the capital city of the state, hence the formation of the “Dobe Awka Ocha” and ” Dobe Anambra Ocha” initiative, explaining that the group is passionate about actualizing the clean and healthy state vision of the present administration in the interest of the residents.

Earlier in a remark, the Chairman Anambra state NUJ, Dr Emeka Odogwu commended the ACTDA boss on various efforts towards making Awka the capital city of the state livable especially on the issue of palliative work on roads across Awka, encouraging him to do more for posterity to judge him well.

 

Dr Odogwu assured him of the readiness of the union to partner him to achieve his targets in the agency.

Contributing, the Chairman Anambra state NUJ 2023 Capacity Building Committee, Comrade Ebele Ezeh thanked the ACTDA MD for identifying with the union, and expressed hope that the partnership between the two parties will be fruitful, even as she used the opportunity to call on Governor Soludo to look into the welfare of Journalists in the state.
