Chairman Anambra State Football Association (FA) and Former Super Eagles defender Chikelue Iloenyosi has urged Nigeria fans to give Victor Boniface time, believing that he will start scoring for the country.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Iloenyosi while speaking on AFCON qualifiers said “Boniface is a fantastic player. We need to give him time. He’s doing well in his club, and once he starts scoring for the country, he has the potential to become a top goalscorer,” Iloenyosi said.

“Bundesliga is all about fitness; if you’re not fit, you can’t play. Boniface is a fantastic player, very obedient, and a nice boy. I’m supporting him in everything,” Iloenyosi added.
The 23-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward will hope to get his first goal for Nigeria during the two upcoming AFCON qualifiers matches against Benin and Rwanda after going nine games without finding the back of the net.
