The people of Osumenyi in Nnewi South Local government area of Anambra State, has elected Chief. Chukwuemeka Akuzue as President General.

Chief Sunday Okonkwo and Mr Chukwuebuka Aladuba won the office of first and second Vice President respectively in the community election held at Community Primary School, Salvation Army, Osumenyi.
While the office of Secretary General and Assistant Secretary went to Mr Ogonus Odiejije and Chijioke Egbeigwe, Mr Gilbert Aguocha took the office of Financial Secretary, Mr Jude Okeke got the position of Treasurer.
Other elected executives include Mr Jaachimma Igwemadu and Chidozie Igwemezie who won the Publicity Secretary and Assistant Publicity Secretary, while Sir. Martin Nnakenyi got the office of Chief Welfare Officer; to be assisted by Chinedu Onyeka and Chinenye Adimora, while Chief Chike Ugwunne and Udoka Umeh won Chief of Protocol and Assistant Protocol.
Bernard Ezeh and Vincent Anosike are Provosts 1 and 2.
Addressing the people of Osumenyi during the election supervised by representatives from various organs of government and ASATU, the Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, represented by Comrade Henry Nwasike, stated that the election was conducted in obedience to court rulings.
He explained that there is a memorandum from the state government that after the election, they should amend their constitution to include everybody in the community so that there will be a unified system of constitution where everybody will be carried along.
In his remark, Mayor of Nnewi South Local Government, Hon. Van-George Ezeogidi, praised the people of Osumenyi for the prevailing peace in the community.
In their separate address, the Caretaker Committee Chairman for Osumenyi, Chief Victor Ojiego, Chairman of Electoral Committee for the community election, 2025, Mr Kenechukwu Udokwu, Grand Patron of Osumenyi, Chief Bartholomew Obidike and the new PG, Chief Akuezue, expressed joy over the peaceful conduct of the election after several years of leadership tussle, and called on all to work towards sustaining the peace in their community.
