All-Star XI 4-5 PSG: Ronaldo braces, Messi scores in G.O.A.T clash

As Paris Saint-Germain narrowly defeated a Saudi All-Star XI 5-4 in Riyadh on Thursday night, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were at the centre of a tumultuous match in Saudi Arabia.

Messi and Neymar teamed to score the opening goal for the French champions in the third minute, giving them the ideal start. Ronaldo, who was playing in the Middle East for the first time, replied in like as he won and converted a penalty to score his first goal in Saudi Arabia since joining Al-Nassr.

Despite Juan Bernat getting dismissed, Marquinhos’ close-range goal appeared to give PSG the lead as the game entered the half. Minutes after the break, Ronaldo added another goal to his tally with a precise close-range finish.

The scoring kept coming as Jang Hyun-soo tied the game minutes after Sergio Ramos put the French team back in lead. On a night that at first glance appeared to be going to be all about one man, Kylian Mbappe, Hugo Ekitike, and Anderson Talisca completed the scoring to seal the victory.
