Amawbia Building Collapse: NSCDC Boss Pays Condolence Visit To Anikpe’s Family

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, led a delegation of top management officials on a condolence visit to the family of the late DSC Stanley Anikpe on Tuesday, 9th July 2024.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the visit was in response to the tragic demise of DSC Anikpe, who lost his life in the collapse of a two-storey building under construction at Ekeoyibo market, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday, 4th July 2024.

Comdt. Maku conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, describing the death as a shocking loss not only to the family but also to the NSCDC.

He assured the family that the Commandant General and the Corps would ensure that DSC Anikpe’s memories are not forgotten. He also promised that the Command and the Corps would stand by the family during this difficult time, urging them to take solace in the fact that DSC Anikpe lived a life worthy of emulation.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of DSC Anikpe, whose services were still greatly needed by the Corps. We pray that the Lord Almighty grants you and your family the comfort and strength to bear this irreparable loss.” Maku said.

expressed her gratitude to the State Commandant for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of solidarity and compassion from the NSCDC. The visit ended with prayers offered for the family.
