Anambra 2025: I Will Be A Responsive Governor – Chukwuma

As the November 8th 2025 election draws near, the Governorship candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP), Sir Paul Chukwuma says if elected, he will be a responsive and responsible.

Chukwuma, who stated this at a media parley in Umueri, Anambra East Council Area on Monday, maintained that he will at every point in time ensure that power belongs to ndi Anambra.

“I am not going to associate myself with anything that will not follow the due process of law. I will not support anything that is undemocratic or against humanity,” he added.

The YPP governorship Candidate reassured that he will liberate Anambra from the current heat of insecurity pervading all nooks and crannies in the state of elected.

He described the present insecurity in Anambra as the most pressing challenge confronting the state.

“Indeed, it is the single greatest obstacle to sustainable growth and development, without safety of lives and property, no meaningful investment, economic activity, or social progress can’t thrive.” He stated.

Chukwuma also pledged to deploy the security votes available to him as governor in ensuring that every nooks and crannies of Anambra would be secured, adding that no Council Area, community or people would be challenged by insecurity under his administration.

“I won’t interfer with the local government autonomy and funding going to the place. I will make sure the security votes available to the governor is deployed to that purpose. I will ensure that protection of lives and properties of ndi Anambra is realised.

“All the internally generated revenue in Anambra State will be generated legally and used for the development of the State. My administration will be sincere and allow constructive criticism. I won’t engage in Iko oni (gossiping). I will ensure that right thing is done accordingly. There won’t be room for speaking long grammar.

Chukwuma further condemned the ongoing campaign of calumny and mudslinging in Anambra State, noting that he was more interested in marketing his manifesto to the populace, who according to him, have equally assured him of their votes on November 8.

“It is so unfortunate that the politics in Anambra State is descending so low. But I am not interested on non issue based campaigns. I am paying attention on issues that are at stake on this election. I am more interested in explaining to Anambra people what I intend to do differently.

“I am more concerned with informing them why I want to serve the State. I am more interested in telling Ndi Anambra the economic and social ecosystem I will fix when I come onboard.

“My concern is the source of funding and several disruptive social changes I intend to bring to ndi Anambra upon my inauguration as governor on March 17, 2026,” he reassured.
