The Chairman of Omabala Union, Chief Chris Okonkwo says the zoning system introduced in Anambra Governorship Election has entrenched political peace and stability in the State.
Speaking to newsmen in his Umuoba Aboegbu country home, the business mogul said that it is highly imperative that the zoning system is strictly respected by all the political parties jostling for the seat of the Governor in the forthcoming November 8 Anambra Governorship poll.
Chief Okonkwo made it clear that the gentleman agreement of zoning where each zone is given the opportunity to produce the Governor of the state at a time has brought even development, and has equally given every zone a sense of belonging.
He called on political parties to ensure that their candidates in the forthcoming election are all from Anambra South Senatorial zone, for them to complete their turn of 8 years in office.
According to the business executive, Governor Soludo has done tremendously well in terms of security, road network, healthcare, education, youth empowerment and should be allowed to continue his good works, calling on Ndi Anambra to support the Governor’s re-election because of his massive infrastructural and human resource developments in the State.

Chief Okonkwo further called on security agencies in the state to ensure that political merchants and hooligans do not interfere with the outcome of the Election, while tasking INEC to make sure that the votes count as this election is very important to Ndi Anambra.
