Anambra: Afamation movement hands over 3 bedroom bungalow to 85yrs old widow

For eighty five years old Mrs Keziah Marcel Okeke of Umuchi village, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state, it was a miracle beyond measures as Afamation Charity Foundation an umbrella of Afamation movement handed over a three bedroom and parlour bungalow to her.

The presentation ceremony which took place on 6th Saturday, 2024, had in attendance government functionaries, stakeholders, the religious and community leaders across the local government, News Echo reports.

Speaking shortly after the handover, the Transition Chairman, Aguata Local Government Council, Hon Chibuike Oforbuike while appreciating the Afamation movement, said the project is worth emulating. Hon Oforbuike however urged other philantropist to toe the good path. “Doing this for someone who cannot do it for herself is amazing and positive way to community development. I urge others who can help out with such projects to always lead the way”.

House of Assembly member representing Aguata 2 Constituency, Hon Tony Muobike disclosed that as a son of the soil, he is happy with the house donation from Afamation movement. “This project is done by the Afamation Charity Foundation, and that is why we are here to join him in the handover of this beautiful edifice. Apart from the fact that they have laid a positive impact to the family, they have equally laid a good example for others to emulate. I am calling on good spirited individuals and philantropist to do more for the people, for our good and the good of our communities”.

Earlier speaking, Former Governorship candidate, Leader and Founder, Afamation Movement, Hon Afamefuna Victor Ezenwafor maintained that the group’s mission is poised to striving towards making a better society than we met it. He noted that Afamation movement is a political organization devoid of political party affiliations, religious and cultural bias.

“In Afamation, we have APC, APGA, PDP, Labour Party members, all different religious beliefs as members. But one thing we have in common is liberation of the people. When people are liberated they work for the betterment of the society”.

“We don’t know madam okeke and she doesn’t know us but by providence the will of God manifested on her family and this symbolises the beginning of peace, love and happiness in the family. I thank God that Mama is alive to see the good thing that has come to her, this will unite the family more”.

Director General Afamation Charity Foundation, Comrade Nnamdi Okeke, said the foundation is a offshoot of Afamation Movement set aside to attend to people who have fundamental issues of life like shelter, water, food among others, are accommodated and assisted through the foundation. He noted that the foundation have been in existence since 2019 and have impacted many lives empowerment and vocational trainings.

Appreciating, the beneficiary, Mrs Keziah Marcel Okeke expressing happiness that she is now a proud owner of a bungalow house, prayed that God almighty will continue to replenish the Afamation movement.

Commending, Chairman Umuezehanoyi kindred, Omeke Umuchi Ekwulobia, Nze Onyeka Okeke affirmed that since the movement came into a poor family and lifted mama up, so shall God lift the everyone who who contributed to the success of the project. “Your pockets shall never run dry” he added.

Meanwhile, others who were present include President General of Ekwulobia Town Union Nze Azubuike Ezechukwu (Uzomili Ebeteghete), Secretary Generel, Umuchi Village, Nze Titus Okafor (Bullet) Obinwa Chidi (Akajifor) Ekebenebe Ekwulobia, and Rev Tochukwu Ezumezu of St Luke’s Anglican Church Ekwulobia, among others.
