Anambra Assembly Committee Inspects Site for Proposed Five-Star Hotel

The Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has visited the site of the proposed five-star hotel project, currently undergoing final soil and density tests.

Chairman of the committee, Engineer Emmanuel Nwafor, who represents Orumba South Constituency, stated that geotechnical testing at the site has been ongoing for the past four to five months and is now in its concluding phase.

Engineer Nwafor confirmed that all tests conducted so far have yielded satisfactory results, indicating that the soil stability and density are suitable for the state government’s proposed development.

He noted that once the final stage of test piling—known as plantation piling—is completed, construction work on the hotel is expected to commence.

Also speaking during the visit, Engineer Aboladofe, the project lead, reaffirmed that all tests and analyses carried out at the site have met the required standards and received certification.

Other members of the committee present during the inspection included Honourable Golden Iloh (Ihiala II) and Honoursble Patrick Udoba (Anambra West).
