The Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed the names of those nominated by Governor Chukwuma Soludo as Board members of the State Civil Service Commission.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the confirmation was done at plenary after the presentation of a report by the Chairman House Committee on Screening and Election Matters, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye.
The member representing Awka South two constituency Rt. Hon. Okoye who is the Deputy Speaker of the House, while presenting the report noted that the nominees had appeared before the Committee and answered questions posed to them satisfactorily.
After the confirmation, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze enjoined the five-man board members to be dedicated and work in partnership with other relevant government agencies to promote peace and development.
The House also confirmed and approved the nomination of Mr. Charles Okocha as Substantive Auditor General of Anambra State and Mrs. Josephine Anyaegbunam as Auditor General for Local Government.
