Anambra Assembly Inspect Ekwulubia Township Stadium

Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works has visited the Ekwulubia township Stadium for an oversight inspection.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the Chairman of the House Committee on Works Hon. Emma Nwafor while speaking during the inspection, said the aim of the visit was to assess the progress and quality of work being carried out at the stadium.

Hon. Nwafor who is the member representing Orumba South Constituency,
expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction work, stating that M&C International Construction Company is responsible for handling the pavilion and work was progressing well. He commended the contractor for sticking to the required standards.

The Committee after thorough examination stated that the materials used on the site were of good quality, and the reinforcements met the standards set by the council for the regulation of engineering structures.

The project manager Engr. Charles Obiegwu while answering questions from the committee members, assured that the project would be completed within the stipulated time frame of six months.

According to Engr. Charles Obiegwu, M&C International Limited, responsible for the project, aims to deliver a pavilion with a capacity of 2000 seats.

“The pavilion is designed to accommodate various amenities, including changing rooms for players, a referee’s room, restaurants, and additional indoor game facilities.

“This comprehensive approach ensures that the stadium will meet the diverse needs of the community and provide an excellent sporting experience.

“The duration we are looking at for completion is about six months. However, by the grace of God, we anticipate finishing the construction in less than four months’.
