Anambra 8th Assembly Majority Leader Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme says the cordial relationship between the executive and
legislature, the management system of Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze and the dedication of the entire lawmakers is the secret behind their achievements.
Hon. Ofodeme who is the member representing Ekwusigo constituency and Chairman House Committee on Rules and Businesses while speaking on the one year anniversary of the 8th Anambra Assembly expressed gratitude to his constituents for the believe and trust imposed on him.
“I owe my people devation to service and i will continue to be a strong voice who will return the dividend of democracy.
” My constituents has testified that am doing well and its a challenge for me to do more.
” The 8th Assembly has passed twenty-one bills into law and eleven of them has been signed into law in one day by Governor Chukwuma Soludo. This has never happened in the history of Anambra State.
” Despite the fact that the 8th Assembly has four different political parties, we have been united.
” I thank Mr Governor for his support because most of the motions and
resolutions passed has been giving accurate and immediate attention.
” The enviromental bills has also been passed which will help the Ocha Brigade to tackle under-aged hawking on our streets. The bill will also checkmate the activities of EIA’s on the on-going projects to reduce building collapsing in order to save the lives of ndi Anambra.
“The best amongst the rest is the electoral law and the law to checkmate cultism.
“The law on cultism has actually controlled the continous killing of our people. This law will also persecute sponsors of cultism.
