Anambra Assembly Observe ‘Minute Silence, Signs Condolence Register For Late Former Speaker, Nnebe

Anambra lawmakers at plenary on Thursday, observe a minute silence for late Former Speaker of the 4th assembly, Rt. Hon. Anayo Nnebe, who died on Wednesday January 24, 2024.

Anambra Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze in his condolence message, said the death of Nnebe who represented Awka South two constutiency between 2007 – 2011 was shocking. 

According to Rt. Hon. Udeze, Nnebe’s death is a very big loss to the state and to Awka South two Constituency in particular. 

“On behalf of the 8th assembly, i sincerely extend our condolences to his family, friends and to the state. May God Almighty console the members of his immediate family”. Udeze prayed.

Angel Network News reports that the lawmakers after plenary signed condolence register in tribute to the late former Speaker.

Late Nnebe who died after a brief illness at the age of 61, represented Awka North/South federal constituency and until his death, the Senior Special Advicer to the Governor on legislative and assembly matter. 

The 8th assembly lead by Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze after plenary paid a condolence visit to the family of Nnebe at his residence.

The sitting was adjourned to Tuesday January 30, 2024.
