Anambra State House of Assembly on
Wednesday held a valedictory session in honour of former Deputy Speaker late Rt. Hon. Harford Ikechukwu Oseke.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze in his tribute described late Oseke as a seasoned legislator who committed and dedicated his life to public service and tireless worked to improve his community, constituency and the state.
“The legacies Oseke left behind will continue to bear testimony. His time as a lawmaker is unforgettable and remarkable as he served with diligence and honor.
“For us the living, let us be mindful that we are on a journey. Let us learn to channel our energy on justice, charity and love”.
“His life was a blessing and his impact will be felt for generations to come. May God accept his soul’ Udeze prayed.
Anambra Assembly Deputy Speaker and member representing Awka South two constituency, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye in his tribute said Oseke was not just a leader but a man of wisdom and humility. He encouraged the immediate family to uphold the legacies of their late father.
The Majority Leader and member representing Ekwusigo Constituency, Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme and Hon. Golden Iloh (Ihiala two), in their tributes, stated that posterity will always remember Oseke. They urged the immediate family to be courageous and put their trust in God.
In their separate tributes, former lawmakers who were colleagues of late Oseke at the 5th and 6th Anambra Assembly including Hon. Chigbu Enwezor, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, Hon. Febian Ezenwunne, Hon. Beverly Nkemdiche and
former Clerk of the Anambra Assembly, Chief. Pius Udo testified of his quality representation, dedication. They promised to continually reach out to his immediate family.
In his tribute, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim
while speaking described Oseke as a great politician with a big heart.
Dr. Ibezim suggested for continues care for the children of former lawmakers who are no more. He urged for a foundation to this effect.
The valedictory session also had former Anambra Speakers, Deputy Speakers, Traditional rulers of Umuawulu and Nise and also members of the Executives

late Oseke who represented Awka South two constituency, was the Majority Leader at the 5th Assembly and the Deputy Speaker of the 6th Assembly Assembly.
The former lawmaker who was born August 1960, hails from Umuawulu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
