Anambra state house of assembly members in a valedictory session at plenary paid tribute to their departed colleague Hon. Nnamdi .G. Okafor, who was the Majority Leader of the House of Assembly until his death.
Anambra Speaker Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor and other lawmakers in there separate tribute condoled with the family and relatives of the departed lawmaker, describing the late Majority Leader as one of the finest lawmakers ever produced in Anambra state and Nigeria at large.

Member representing Aguata1 constituency,
Hon. Cater Dike Nnamdi Umeoduagu suggested that the late Majority Leader should be accorded a state burial. He recalled the role late Nnamdi Okafor played in making him a councillor in Awka-South local government area, where he began his political career even as a non-indigene.
Umeoduagu noted that apart from giving the late Majority Leader a befitting state burial, there was absolute need to immortalize the late lawmaker because of his monumental contributions to governance and administration. That the late Majority Leader played a very pivotal role in the laying of foundation stone for the construction of the International Convention Centre in Awka.
Umeoduagu said the late Nnamdi Okafor was his boss who made him a councillor in Awka-South even though he is an indigene of Aguata local government area.
The Aguata 1 constituency representative said that he is a stakeholder in Awka-South because the late Nnamdi Okafor made it possible for him to represent the non-indigenes ward, adding that the late Majority Leader will forever be missed by all and sundry.
