The plenary on Thursday begins with an opening prayer led by Hon; Uche Okafor the speaker, he welcomed everyone present at the plenary.
The votes and proceedings was checked and carried, after the correction of omitted names of some honorable members.
Hon Pete Chima Ibida member representing Njikoka 2 constituency emmerge the new Chief whip of the Anambra State assembly.
The speaker, Hon Uche Okafor made this announcement on Thursday during the plenary session.
According to him ” Hon Pete Chima Ibida member representing Njikoka 2 constituency was nominated the Chief whip of the 7th assembly by the majority party APGA”.
The speaker congratulate and wished him well in his new position.
Hon Pete Chima Ibida the Chief whip, in his words of appreciation for his new position, thanked the APGA caucus for finding him worthy to take the position.
In a special way he appreciated the majority leader Hon Godwin Nnamdi Okafor member representing Awka south 1 constituency for being pragmatic, resilient and for discharging his duty well.
He added that he will do all his best in discharging his duty well.
Meanwhile Hon. Ezeudu Lawrence C. The chairman house Committee on housing and urban development presented a report of erection of unauthorized building within the premises of the housing development cooperation.
Anambra Assembly through the speaker Hon. Uche Okafor after resolving to a committee of a whole to consider the report presented by the chairman house Committee on housing and urban development plead with the chairman and the committee members of the committee to re-present the report again on the next plenary for proper consideration.
Hon. Godwin Nnamdi Okafor member representing Awka south 1 constituency moved a motion that the house be adjourned to reconvene on Tuesday 1st of March 2022, Hon. Noble Chukwunonso Igwe member representing Ogbaru 1 constituency seconded the motion for adjournment.
