The Anambra State House of Assembly has commenced its annual recess following the successful completion of the Second Legislative Session.
Announcing this during plenary, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze
commended the lawmakers for their dedication to duty and urged them to utilize the recess to reconnect with their constituents, monitor ongoing projects, and ensure that governance continues to touch the grassroots meaningfully.
The Speaker also encouraged the legislators to facilitate the participation of their constituents in the forthcoming SmFest program scheduled to hold in Awka, an initiative aimed at empowering young people with digital skills, innovation, and entrepreneurial opportunities.


Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the House is expected to reconvene on August 7th 2025 following a motion for adjournment moved by the Majority Leader, Hon Ikenna Ofodeme and seconded by the Deputy Majority Leader,
Hon. Noble Nonso Igwe.
