The Anambra State House of Assembly at plenary effected a reshuffle of some key principal officers following the resolution of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) caucus of the 7th assembly after today’s meeting as was read by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Victor Okafor.
The Speaker announced the appointment of the member representing Njikoka 2 constituency, Hon. Pete Ibida as the new Majority leader of the 7th assembly following the demise of late Hon. Nnamdi Okafor.

The speaker also announced the member representing Onitsha South 2 constituency, Hon. Beverly Ikpeazu Nkemdiche who was formerly the deputy Chief Whip, as the new Chief Whip while the member representing Idemili North Constituency, Hon. Author Ifeanyi Chiekwue is now the deputy Chief Whip.

Rt. Hon. Pete Ibida, while speaking on behalf of the newly appointed principals, expressed gratitude to the Speaker and members of the 7th assembly.

In his words, “I’m assuring the Speaker and the 7th assembly that we will live up to expectations and the responsibilities”.
