The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has described the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, His Eminence, Peter Cardinal Okpaleke as a true man of God whose religious belief and disposition have gone a long way in leading people to God’s salvation.
In his Goodwill Message to Peter Cardinal Okpaleke on behalf of the State Legislature as he marks his 62nd birthday,
signed by Mr. Emma Madu, Press Secretary to the Speaker, Udeze noted that his early elevation to the rank of Cardinal demonstrated God’s purpose to use him in propagating the gospel.
The Speaker who expressed satisfaction with the rapid transformation going on in Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese under the watch of Cardinal Okpaleke, commended him for his commitment towards the spiritual growth of members of the Cathedral as well as the peace and development of the State.
He prayed God to increase His unction and grace upon Cardinal Okpaleke to enable him continue to shepherd effectively the congregation of the Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese, and even people from other religious bodies within his episcopacy.
Rt. Hon. Udeze enjoined members of the diocese to join hands with Cardinal Okpaleke in advancing the church of God in Ekwulobia Catholic Diocese, while praying God to bless him in all ramifications.
