Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
in his message to mark the International Day of the Girl Child, Rt Hon. Udeze enjoined relevant authorities and agencies to abrogate policies and programmes aimed at jeopardizing the future of the girl child such as forced or early child marriage.
The Speaker advocated for adequate inclusion of young females in matters that concern them especially on education, adding that an educated woman has the power to educate the entire family.
While urging young girls not to allow themselves to be intimidated by their male counterparts both in school and at home, Udeze appealed to parents and affluent citizens to see the empowerment of the girl child as a collective responsibility.
