A security outfit under the Anambra State Government, Special Anti-Touting Squad, (SASA), has arrested the General Overseer of Jesus Is Ontop Ministry, Amichi, Evangelist Dozie Favour Ezeani, over alleged rape and impregnation of a 16-year-old girl.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Managing Director of SASA, Mr. Monday Nwokoye, while presenting the alleged victim to journalists at the squad’s headquarters in Onitsha, stated that the case was reported by a security operative from Igboukwu, a neighbouring community where the incident allegedly occurred, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who is now in police custody for further investigation.
Nwokoye explained that the teenager was handed over to the evangelist by her aunt for what was described as “special deliverance”, only for the said evangelist to have canal knowledge of her severally, resulting in the victim getting pregnant.
SASA reiterated its commitment to collaborating with relevant agencies to ensure justice is served, and to protect victims of abuse.
The minor alleged that the evangelist repeatedly abused her after she was taken to his residence in November 2025 for a deliverance session arranged by her aunt without her mother’s consent.
She claimed that the abuse occurred multiple times across different locations, including the church, farm and residence, until she was eventually rescued by SASA operatives.
The victim also alleged that the evangelist gave her a substance to terminate a resulting pregnancy, which is causing her pain and bleeding.
While thanking SASA for her rescue, she appealed for urgent medical attention, as according to her, her background with limited family support is a major challenge in her upbringing.
Responding to the allegations, the suspect Mr. Ezeani, admitted sleeping with the minor severally, claiming that his wife is not living with him.
