The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Echeng Echeng, on Sunday, at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, joined other service commanders in the state, to honour security forces/personnel who paid the supreme price in service to the nation’s unity.

In keeping hope alive, the CP stated that “the occasion gives cause for reflection to remind us of the sacrifices made by our security forces in preserving the unity of this country and protecting lives and property.”

ANN gathered that the highlights of the event include the inspection of the parade mounted by the Nigeria Army, Navy, and Nigeria legion by the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, prayers and observation of silence for the fallen officers, the placing of wreaths, and other significant exhibitions that made the event colorful.
