Executives of the Customary Court in Anambra have appealed to the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Tobechukwu Nweke (SAN), to intervene in issues affecting their welfare.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the appeal was made during a courtesy visit to the Attorney General in his chambers at the Ministry of Justice, Awka.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Customary Court Association, Anambra Chapter, His Honour Joy Mbachu, used the opportunity to draw attention to the welfare concerns of the association, urging the Attorney General to lend his voice and support towards addressing them.
Mbachu said the delegation was in the Ministry to familiarise with the Attorney General and to formally congratulate him on his appointment. She expressed confidence in Nweke’s capacity to advance the justice sector in the state.
Responding, Nweke appreciated the visit, assuring them of his commitment to the welfare of stakeholders within the justice system. He pledged to look into their concerns and encouraged the executives to maintain open communication with his office, assuring them of his readiness to attend to issues whenever the need arises.
