Anambra Disabilities Rights Commission Defends Budget, Propose 164 Million Naira

Anambra Disabilities Rights Commission (DRC) has appeared before committee on Finance and Appropriations chaired by Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, proposes 164 million, 500 thousand for next year 2024

Speaking during the 2024 budget defense on Friday, the Chairman, Anambra State Disabilities Rights Commission (DRC), Barr. Chuks Ezewuzie revealed that some of the major project of this year 2023 was not achieved duo to certain reasons. 

ANN reports that the DRC chairman, expressed optimism that the coming year will be more productive. 

Hon. Ezewuzie however, called for urgent intervention especially on electricity at the Isulo center were disability children are residing, stating that they are currently in the dark, pleading for more attention to be giving to the school whose property is delipedated.

Hon. Ejike Okechukwu assured the Disabilities Rights Commission that the 2024 budget is realistic. He encouraged them to do more in the coming year and that their ideas will be achieved.

The house committee chairman of Finance and Appropration restated the fact that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has better plans for the Commission.
