A law to establish Anambra state Economic Planning board 2024 and to provide for the economic planning and development of the state as contain in section 73 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as ammended has been passed.

Anambra State House of Assembly on Tuesday at plenary passed the bill after the presentation and consideration of report of the joint House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, and the Committee on Economic Planning, SDG’s and International Organizations, presented by Hon. Ejike Okechukwu.
ANN recall that on September 26, 2024, after the second reading of the bill, Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze referred the bill to the joint Committee.

before presenting the report, revealed that the joint Committee meet and delibrated on the bill and came up with some suggestions and recommendation, hoping that it will go a long way in strengthening the bill.
After some consideration and ammendment at the Committee of the whole, the bill was red for the third time and passed into law.
According to the Speaker, the law is to take effect from the 8th of October 2024.
The House adjurned and to reconvene on Tuesday October 15th 2024.
