A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Chief Dennis Ngene has rated his party’s governorship candidate in the November 6 governorship election, Senator Andy Uba above other candidates.
Ngene, who said that Andy Uba made virtually all the contesting candidates who they are today, spoke to journalists in Awka. He said for instance that Senator Uba was instrumental to All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for clinching the top job of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Ngene asked Soludo to step down from his gubernatorial ambition and allow Senator Uba to assume fresh leadership of the state come March 17, 2022.
This should be so, he argued because “we’re it not for the effort and presidential connection of Uba under the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, Soludo would not have attained his present prominence.”
