LThe Commissioner of Environment Dr. Felix Odimegwu has flagged off Tree planting initiative at Amazon estate located at Nawgu road, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.

Odimegwu in his address at the premiere, stated that the tree planting initiative is a welcome development that will not only boost environmental sustainability and resilience but will help slow down the erosion menace that have taken a major part of our land mass in the state
The Commissioner stressed that this act goes in line with Mr Governor’s call for public -private community partnership model of governance (PPCP) which foster community development.
“The Soludo led government flagged off over 500km of road transversing the length and breadth of Anambra State, thereby opening up the hinterlands connecting communities and towns.
“The development of Amazon estates at that location is a complimentary testament of the good work done by the Solution Government.
The commissioner therefore commended the MD of Senatorch for taking up the initiative to start his estate development with tree planting, adding that trees are natural coolant that do not only add aesthetic value to the environment but also act as the Earth’s natural oxygen provider.
