Anambra FA Chairman Moves To Accomplish Vision, Inaugurates Committees

Chairman of Anambra Football Association, Chikelue Iloenyosi on Tuesday, inaugurated committees that will help in driving his new dream for football in the State.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that amongst the committees inaugurated are the Organizing Committee headed by Chief Victor Anaekwena, Vice Chairman of the FA, Referees Appointment Committee headed by Mrs. Cordelia Akanna and Media and Publicity Committee under the Chairmanship of veteran journalist, Ralph Chidozie George.

Iloenyosi expressed confidence that the committee in no doubt will bring their rich vault of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, much to the uplifting of football in the state and beyond.

Iloenyosi describing them as ‘integrity’ committees, with the quality, caliber and experience members.

“We thank God for making it possible for us to be gathered here today for the course of football in the state”, starts ‘General’ Iloenyosi, in a most appealing tone.

“For you to have been chosen for this assignments means the FA have confidence in your capabilities and experience.

“It also shows your commitment to lend your experiences and expertise in driving home our new vision for football development in our dear Anambra State.

“I thank God for safely bringing you all here, including myself who had to come down from an official duty in Owerri today for the inauguration of these ‘integrity’ committees. We hope to work for the uplifting of football in the state”, Iloenyosi said.

In his speech, Sir Victor Nwangwu, a former Rangers star and former Secretary of Anambra State Football Association, took time out to lecture the committees members on their roles, urging them to ensure that they abide by the FA/NFF Statutes as is the case with CAF and FIFA in the discharge of their duties.

“You are now an integral part of the FA. The success of the FA is now your success and the failure of the FA is now equally your failure”, Nwangwu drummed deep into the ears of the committees members.

“So, you must work in total partnership with the FA, in order to drive their policies and programs home for success.

“There’s equally challenges and you must at all times remember that it’s not about what comes into your pockets but you should help in sourcing for financial succour for the FA.

“Ofcourse, a labourer deserves his pay. Where and when the FA has funds, it won’t waste time to give out but essentially, anchoring your services on what comes into your pockets is not the primary responsibility reposed in you by your appointment”, Nwangwu concluded.
