Anambra Football Association Sanction Solution FC For Misconduct

Anambra State Football Association, (ANSFA), has handed out a hefty five hundred thousand Naira, (N500, 000.00) sanction to Solution FC.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the Anambra State Government owned Nigeria National League (NNL) team was
sanctioned for several breaches in its rules and regulations governing the NEROS/ANSFA Cup decided at NEROS Stadium, Nanka.

Two players of Solution FC, Uche Iloh and Nonso Okechukwu were handed two match ban which will take effect in next year’s (2026) edition of the tournament after they were red-carded in the final of the 2025 NEROS/ANSFA Cup for gross Misconduct.

Also, Editing Ejogharado, a player of Solution FC was handed a one-year ban for Misconduct related offences that was termed as capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

Rising from its meeting, where the referee and match commissioner’s reports of the 2025 NEROS/ANSFA Cup Final was read and discussed, the Football Association
(FA) felt embittered that professional club and players could conduct themselves the way and manner the affected players behaved during the game under review.

The FA affirmed that Solution FC was in breach Article N0.24 when their players and team officials allegedly ‘harassed and verbally attacked’ the center referee of the NEROS/ANSFA Cup Final match between it (Solution FC) and Edel FC.

The FA also said it found out that Supporters of Solution FC encroached on the field of play and thereby forced an embarrassing stoppage of the final match for more than 10 minutes.

The FA noted that such action was capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

The FA further said that Solution FC player, Edition Ejogharado, who wore Jersey N0.26, went to the bench of Edel FC and fought Edel FC reserved players after he (Edirin Ejogharado) had been substituted in the final match.

The Anambra State Football body further noted that Nonso Okechukwu (jersey No. 14) refused to leave the pitch after he was red-carded for assaulting the referee.

The FA equally noted that Solution FC refused to continue with the match for 10 minutes in protest against the red card issued to their players who attacked and assaulted the referee.

The ANSFA also noted that Solution FC ‘refused’ to attend the pre-match meeting, an action that equally ran foul of the rules and regulations governing the competition.

The ANSFA after their findings and decisions, ordered Solution FC to pay up with seven days and also gave the club 48 hours to lodge an Appeal to the Disciplinary Committee of the FA if they so wish.
