Anambra Govt Asks Private Schools To Install Cameras For Effective Monitoring

Anambra State government has announced that henceforth the installation of camera has become a condition for approval of any private school.

Angel Network News reports that Commissioner for Education Anambra State Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh while addressing the management of a private school in her office, said that this has become necessary for the monitoring of activities in the school.

The directive followed a report by a parent that a teacher, manhandled his child and the school was invited to the Commissioner’s office for explanation.

Chuma-Udeh warned teachers against beating children, pointing out that any teacher who beats a child has become an enemy to the child, and no lesson from her is to be understood by the child.

The Commissioner directed that the said teacher be removed from the class warning that if any report comes from the school again, the school will be closed down.

She made clear that every child belongs to the State and the State cannot fold it’s hand to watch any person molest a child.
