Anambra Govt Assures Better Welfare For Nurses, Midwives

Anambra State Government has assured members of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives better welfare and more fruitful years ahead.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, gave the assurance during a road show by the association, which they used to endorse the Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term.

Dr. Obidike maintained that Soludo’s
administration is passionate about the welfare of the nurses as they play an integral role in healthcare delivery in the state.

“The Governor made it clear that it is not easy to be a nurse because of the herculean task involved. I urge you all to continue to give your best for the overall interest of the state”. Obidike added.

Earlier, the State Chairperson of the association, Comrade Edith Onwuka, said that they endorsed the Governor because of the numerous things his administration has done for them, including the implementation of hundred percent consolidated salary structure for nurses in the state, assuring that Anambra nurses and midwives will vote massively for the Governor during the November eight governorship election.

In their separate remarks, the Deputy General Secretary of the association, Dr. Ikedi Onah, and the Director of Health, Ayamelum Local Goverment, Mrs. Egu Gloria, all showered encomiums on Governor Soludo for his special love for Anambra nurses, promising to reciprocate with their votes.
