Anambra Govt Assures Former Political Appointees Of Better Working Relationship

Anambra State government has assured former political appointees who worked with Governor Willie Obiano that Gov Chukwuemeka Soludo is ready to work with them.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi made this promises during a meeting with the former political appointees in Awka.

Addressing the appointees, Ezeajughi appreciated them for their service to Ndi Anambra during the regime of the past administration, and asked them to keep supporting the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Soludo administration.

The Chief of Staff who listed the numerous achievements of Governor Soludo from infrastructural development to healthcare, security, youth empowerment and employment, workers’ welfare, education among others, assured them that Governor Soludo will look into all their demands for a better, liveable and prosperous homeland.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu noted that he was highly overwhelmed with the number of the former political appointees that attended the meeting, and described them as field merchants who were instrumental to the successes recorded by the party in many previous elections.

Dr. Obiogbolu explained that the government of Prof. Soludo is passionate about the well-being of Ndi Anambra, especially those in the grassroots, hence his administration’s commitment to developing the hinterlands of the state, urging them to sustain the tempo.

Earlier, one of the conveners of the meeting, Mr Chika Ibeneme said that the get-together was for those of them who are genuinely supporting the Soludo administration to come and discuss about some pressing issues affecting them.

Mr Ibeneme made it clear that they are fully in support of the current administration in the state and distanced themselves from those he described as political merchants who claimed to be past political appointees but are working tirelessly to bring down the Soludo’s government.

A 10-point communique was presented to the Chief of Staff by the past political appointees for onward transmission to Governor Soludo where they equivocally said that they are supporting the Soludo’s administration, that they will work for his second term bid, and urged the government to redeem the pledge he made to them before the election that brought him in office among numerous other things.
