Anambra State government through its Agency, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) has commenced the reconstruction of the 200m -long Kwata road.
Speaking during the exercise, the Head of Development Control of the agency, Mr. Charles Ekwunife said that what the agency has done is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s agenda of giving Ndi Anambra a liveable and prosperous homeland.
Mr. Ekwunife who thanked Governor Soludo for his support to the agency that enabled the job, promised that they will continue to work round the clock to give Awka and other towns within the capital territory the attention they deserve.
ANN gathered that the road has been in a terrible state for years and it leads to the palace of Obi EzeUzu the 2nd of Awka, Udoka Housing Estate and many other villages of Awka along the Amikwo/Obunagu axis.
With the latest development, residents, meat sellers and buyers will breath a sigh of relief from the daily trauma they pass through in navigating through the road.
