Anambra Govt Distributes Funds, Certificates To Beneficiaries Of 1Youth, 2 Skills

The five thousand beneficiaries of “1Youth, 2Skills” Solution Initiative that graduated last weekend have begun to receive their start-up seed capital and certificates of training from UNIZIK Business School

The beneficiaries received their cheques through their local government Transition Committee Chairmen as directed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

ANN gathered that the beneficiaries also went home with 10,000 cash for their transportation allowance as promised by Governor Soludo on their graduation day at ICC, Awka.

They received between N200,000 and N500,000 depending on the skills acquired.

Nnewi North local government area has 212 beneficiaries, Idemili South has 97, Oyi has 76 while Dunukofia has 79 beneficiaries.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engr Chris Obiorah, that of Oyi Mr Emmanuel Nweke, their counterpart in Dunukofia Local Government Area, Mr Augustine Onyemaobi and that of Idemili South, Mrs Amaka Obi all commended the initiative and encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds.

They appreciated Governor Soludo for empowering the youths saying that the programme will have a positive impact on the future of the state.

The beneficiaries including Mrs Ogochukwu Agbaim from Nnewi, Miss Tochi Nwankwo and Miss Blessing Nwafor both from Nteje, Oyi local government area said that they are so happy being part of the programme.

They appreciated Governor Soludo for the opportunity given to them and promised to add value to the society through the empowerment.
