The people of Amudo Awka and Egbeagu Amansea have been asked to accept in good fate the outcome of the delineation of their disputed boundary after the exercise.
ANN reports that the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim gave the charge during the delineation of the disputed boundary between the two villages in Awka and Amansea.
Deputy Governor Ibezim who is the Chairman Anambra state Boundary Committee assured that the committee will be transparent and credible in the course of the work so as enthrone lasting peace in the area as directed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo whose target, he explained, is to make Anambra peaceful and conducive for all.
Dr Ibezim told the people of Amudo Awka and Egbeagu Amansea that after the delineation and establishment of monuments on the disputed areas, that any of the party that will go against the outcome of the exercise will have the state government to contend with.
He commended both villages for accepting to go the way of peace, and encouraged them keep it up as according to him nothing is worth human life.
In their separate interviews, representative of Amudo Awka, Mr Chukwuemaka Okoye and his Egbeagu Amansea counterpart, Mr Elias Mmadukegbu appreciated the intervention of the state government on the disputed boundary, promising to abide by the outcome of the boundary delineation exercise by the government, expressing hope that the boundary committee will be fare in its judgment throughout the exercise.
They noted that the boundary delineation will foster peace among them and provide clear demarcation symbols for their upcoming generation.
