Professor Chukwuma Soludo says his administration is on course to delivering and laying the solid foundation for a liveable and prosperous smart megacity for ndị Anambra.
Angel Network News reports that Governor Soludo stated this during the 2024 Executive Council Retreat held at the International Convention Centre, Awka, the state capital.
Addressing the press at the end of the retreat, Soludo reiterated that the programme was used to foster constructive dialogue and find practical solutions to issues in the governance landscape.
Soludo noted that the retreat was used to reflect on what his government set out to do, how far they have come, the challenges, opportunities, the road they have come, as well as the outstanding and how to get to their ultimate destination.
The Governor explained that they took a critical look at his manifesto and their work programme for ndị Anambra, and pointed out that appreciable progress has been recorded within the last few months.
He assured of his administration’s commitment to building a homeland that the people will be proud of to live, work, invest, learn, relax and enjoy.
Governor Soludo added that 2024 is a year for full execution, being the only non-election year within a four year period, expressing optimism that it will be a year with no distractions and execution to provide maximum benefit for ndị Anambra who employed them.
The retreat which had the theme: “Mid Term Performance Review- Changing Gear”, had the entire government from the local government system to the members of the executive arm of government, Managing Directors of Agencies, liaison officers, among others in attendance.
The gathering was a move aimed at de-escalating tensions among the government officials and agencies and focused on finding common ground on contentious issues as they review the performance of the present administration with a view to projecting towards the future.
