Anambra State Government through Primary Health Care Development Agency in collaboration with Ministry Of Health and development partners, have flagged off second phase, National Immunisation Plus Days.

the flag off ceremony which took place at Primary Health Care, Isulo, in Orumba South Local Government Area, attracted nursing mothers in Orumba South council area where children under five years got
immunise against preventable diseases.
The Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Pharmacist Chisom Uchem while speaking, said that the five days exercise commenced in the three hundred and twenty six Primary Health Centres across all the wards in the state, schools, churches, strategic places and in all the places they can spot children under the age of five so as to ensure that diseases like polio and others are kept far away from Anambra State.
Pharm. Uchem noted that the vaccination is free of cost because Governor Chukwuma Soludo has paid for the immunisation, appreciating him for providing the enabling environment especially security and fundings for all the immunisation exercise happening in the state, urging parents to avail their children to be immunised to avoid had i known.
Speaking earlier, a representative of Africa Field Epidemiology Network, AFENET, Dr Kenneth Iortyom while appreciating Anambra State Government for being in fore front in fighting vaccine preventable diseases and urged every community to ensure one hundred percent compliance as failure to do so would amount to development partners withdrawing their partnerships.
