In a significant boost to the state’s security and developmental infrastructure,
Chief Cletus Oragwa of Zenco Group has donation 10 vehicles to Anambra state government.
Making the presentation on behalf of Chief Oragwa, Barr. Ikenna Mbazulike-Amechi revealed that the donation is to support the Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his security initiatives.
Accepted the donation at the Light House in Awka, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, while speaking, highlighted the dramatic shift in the security landscape of Ukpor; once a flashpoint for instability.
Soludo declared that through strategic intervention and local cooperation, Ukpor has been transformed, remarking that Ukpor is now one of the safest areas in the state.
The Governor commended the community spirit displayed by the people of Ukpor, pointing out that it is the kind of partnership with communities that will endure and redefine our state.
Governor Soludo used the occasion to reinforce his administration’s Open Society Agenda, stating candidly that government funding—public capital—is insufficient on its own to meet the rapid pace of development required for the state and stressed that the state must aggressively leverage private capital to accelerate infrastructure and economic growth.
Prof. Soludo used the opportunity to announce that a Kaolin processing plant is currently being built in Ukpor and will be commissioned soon, noting that the world is being signaled that Ukpor is “notable for such resources,” marking it as a future industrial hub.
While expressing deep gratitude to Chief Oragwa for his generosity and civic responsibility, Soludo extended appreciation to all ndi Anambra who share the “Homecoming Spirit,” urging those abroad and in other parts of Nigeria to bring their investments back home.
