Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike has said that the state is poised to establishing rail transportation to make it a developed nation in another five years’ time.
Speaking on Anambra at thirty-two, Mrs Igwebuike rated the state high in the transport sector, after it was carved out from the old Anambra State that included Enugu and Ebonyi States.
She said that the state has successfully become intermodal in the sector, having established air, land and water transportation, and with oil and gas deposits.
According to her, achieving Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport by the Willie Obiano administration is a major milestone in the transport sector even as she said that a lot would still be achieved in the nearest future.
