Anambra Govt To Commence Second Phase Of “One Youth Two Skills” Programme Soon

The Second phase of Anambra state government’s “One Youth, Two Skills” programme is to commence soon.

Anambra Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Agha Mba disclosed this while declaring open the 2024 Batch A Stream two Orientation Course for Corps Members deployed to Anambra state at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Commissioner Agha Mba represented by the President Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Youth wing, Mr Ken Okoli, noted that as a youth centered administration, skills acquisition is the fulcrum of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s government policy, adding that under the “One Youth Two Skills”  programme, the present administration, trains, mentors and funds youths across the 21 local government areas of the state.

The Commissioner revealed  that other youth oriented policies of his administration include Information and Communication Technology training as well as clean and green initiative among others.

He encouraged them to develop symbiotic relationship with the good people of the state, particularly the youth, imparts to them the skills and knowledge they have and systematically tap those positive things the people are endowed with for more development.

Hon. Mba assured the NYSC members of the present administration’s commitment towards their security as all security agencies in the state are working assiduously in synergy and round the clock, advising them to be security conscious by being at the right place at the right time. 

He also promised them that Soludo’s administration shall continue to provide welfare services which would make them comfortable to discharge their assigned responsibilities and commended the management of the National Youth Service Corps and the State Coordinator, Mrs Blessing Iruma for always being innovative, creative and bringing on board programmes and policies which would make the contemporary Nigerian graduates fit into the society seamlessly after their service year.
