Ifeanya, who announced that his ministry will embark on an aggressive monitoring and supervision of activities within the Petroleum and Mining sectors in 2025, noted that it is aimed at ensuring that miners and petroleum product dealers conform to set standards.

He implored state miners to be on the vanguard of protecting the environment as they carry out their mining activities, warning that the environment they abuse today will take its revenge on future generations.
