A philanthropist Chief Okwudili Ugochukwu has sponsored the first maiden edition of inter-schools quiz competition for secondary schools in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

the quiz competition, organized by Nnobi Youth Graduate Forum under the umbrella of association of Nnobi youths, was aimed at promoting academic excellence, teamwork and healthy competition among the secondary schools in Nnobi.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo who was represented by his Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment Programmes, Dr, Nelson Omenugha commended Chief Ugochukwu for contributing hugely in human capital development.
Soludo emphasized that education is the bedrock of the society and the best legacy a society can leave for her children as encouraged the continue to excel in their academics in order to actualize their dreams in life.
Addressing the students, the sponsor of the competition, Chief Ugochukwu, represented by Chief CharlyPaul Obidike said he is a lover of education and advised the students to continue to study hard, make best use of their time, while announcing gifts and a year scholarship for the grand winners.
Chief Ugochukwu maintained that
investment in education remains the greatest legacy that could be left for the younger generation and it pays the best interest.
The member representing Idemili South in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka lgwe represented by the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Nnobi Ward three, Mr Ifeanyi Agu, advised the students to embrace education.
In their separate remarks, the President General of Nnobi, Barrister Dominicsavio Okpala, the Youth leader, Mr Chiagoziem Akonu, the Woman Leader of the community, Lady Ifenyinwa Nnekwelugo, The Chairman of Ngo village, Nnobi, Dr Patrick Mbanefo and the Chairman of the planning committee of the competition, Comrade Udoka Ezeimo prayed for God’s blessings on Chief Ugochukwu for using his resources to promote education in the community.
The quiz was grouped into three rounds for the eight schools that participated in the competition.
At the end of the day, Zion Secondary School, Nnobi emerged the grand winner of the competition while Christ The King Seminary School, Nnobi came second while the third position went to Our Lady’s Secondary School, Nnobi.
