Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Ben Obidike has applauded the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Global Fund for the ongoing reconstruction of the State Pharmaceutical Central Store in the State.
Angel Network News reports that Dr. Obidike said this while inspecting the ongoing reconstruction of the State Pharmaceutical Central Store to modern Central Store in Awka.
The Commissioner said the ongoing reconstruction is in partnership with Global Fund, UNICEF and the State Government.
According to him, the project when completed will help the State in storing essential commodities. He commended the contractor handling the project for their commitment while urging them to expedite action so as to meet the deadline for the completion of the project.
Dr. Obidike commended Global Fund, UNICEF for their continued partnership with the State Government that is geared toward improving Healthcare System of the State.
He explained that Anambra through the cordial relationship that exists between the State, Global Fund and UNICEF, Anambra was chosen among other few States in Nigeria.
“We are committing 10 percent in this project that worth millions of naira and we must thank His Excellency the Executive Governor of the State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his continued support in the healthcare system of the State.”
